Intel once again turned to the Design Lab to promote their latest innovation- the WiFi Centrino mobile technology. Light, wireless and providing breakthrough mobile performance, they needed a product to manifest and facilitate these unique selling points. The WiFi street furniture has taken Intel’s hotspot technology into the public arena. Envisioning the wireless computer era, the furniture has formed from clear acrylic blocks with a woven fibre optic cable seat and backrest. A moveable arm provided a table for a WiFi PC laptop and contained an access-point provider, allowing users to connect wirelessly to the internet. When connected, the fibre-optic strands of the chair glowed, creating the effect of a “light hammock”. The WiFi furniture was manufactured by Cappellini and exhibited at 100% Design in 2003.

　　英特尔又一次找到Design Lab为其最新的发明-无限迅弛移动技术作宣传推广。英特尔公司需要一个特殊的展示品来诠释其产品的优秀特点-质量轻，无线连接和先进的移动科技。我们设计了一件无线家具帮助英特尔把他们的热点产品带入了市场。展望到无线计算机时代的到来，我们运用树脂和纤维电缆的结合，利用纺织科技，将它们变成了座椅和靠背的形状。一个可移动的辅助台既是摆放笔记本电脑的桌台，同时也是一台移动路由器，使得使用者可以随时随地无线连接互联网。一旦用户与互联网相连，椅子上一缕一缕的纤维元素会发光并产生鲜艳的颜色，看起来就像“闪亮的吊床”。此无线家具由Cappellini公司负责生产并在2003年100% Design展览上展出。
